Rev. Fr. David Gulyelmo Ojok was on Saturday 23th July 2011 Ordained together with three other deacons in a colorful Ceremony at Patongo Parish ground by His Grace the Most Rt. Rev. John Baptist Odama the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Gulu.

Fr. David Gulyelmo Ojok hails from Geregere in Patongo Parish and a Diocesan Priest of the Archdiocese of Gulu. The other three deacons belong to the Congregation of St Francis of Our Lady of the Poor- Originating from the Pillipins.

In his homily the Archbishop pointed out that God the Loving Father want all mankind to know Him, love Him and work for Him and one another so that at the end, all go back to Him. That is why he sent his only Son Jesus Christ on Earth to show us the way, the truth and the life. By choosing the twelve apostles, Christ wanted to make sure that the work of showing the way, the truth and life to humanity continuous. Since then, this has been done through the laying on of hands and anointing with holy oils. He called upon the ordained to commit themselves with total dedication in this task assigned to them. 

Fr. David was immediately posted to Lacor Parish in Gulu Vicariate to begin his work while the other three deacons Rev. Deacon Benedict. Deacon Boniface and Deacon Joseph are to go back to their formation house in Nairobi

In  another related incident, Rev Fr. Mario Otti was Ordained in Lacor Parish by His Grace the Most Rt. Rev. John Baptist Odama on the 9th July 2011 Rev. Fr. Otti who hails from Lacor Parish was posted as Curate to Lukome Parish. END.
